How it all began
Born out of the recession of the early 1990s, Investors in People was launched to produce a framework which would help organisations become more effective by developing and harnessing the skills of their people to achieve the organisation’s goals. For many organisations this was a transformative experience driving them forward to enjoy greater success. Almost 3,000 organisations have maintained their Investor in People status for ten years or more.
